HINDI DIWAS

On the occasion of Hindi Diwas on September 14, 2010 Bhaskar Foundation and Dainik Bhaskar Group organized a seminar in Delhi at Triveni Kala Sangam. The theme of seminar was "Increasing Influence of English and Role of Hindi Print Media".

Smt Ambika Soni, Hon'ble Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Govt of India attended as the Chief Guest. Other Guest Speakers were:

  • Sh Namvar Singh, Leading Hindi Scholar & Writer
  • Prof Purushottam Agarwal, Professor, JNU
  • Dr Oscar Pujol, Director, Instituto Cervantes
  • Sh Ashok Chakradhar, Leading Hindi Poet and Scholar
  • Sh Sharvan Garg, Group Editor, Dainik Bhaskar

Sh Ashok Chakradhar moderated the panel discussion. A special issue of Dainik Bhaskar was released on the occasion. The Seminar was attended by more than 250 invitees.
